So I gave my old bot to a friend - just in time it seems. 3 years old 'LR6' which is a M400 rebadged.

He used it for a month and it then failed. Bother!!

Inspection reveals corrosion on the end of the cable where it enters the motor assembly.

Part for the cable is like this

The question is what about the socket end inside the motor unit?

It would be crazy to bin the working motor unit for the sake of a $10 part.

Picture of old cable plug, and the back of what I think the motor socket may look like - but not opened it up yet.

Any suggestions/ideas? Not seen anything online as yet.

Hey John,

Sorry you haven't received any help yet. Matt recently tore into a robot for repair. Let's see if he may have some input. If not, we'll give you a bump to the top of the queue.

@JoyfulNoise

Best of luck!

Looks like you need both sides of the electrical connector. Check with Marina’s or search online as I have seen both sides available.

I discovered something along the way in my saga of trying to rebuild a robot motor assembly - Maytronics designs it all for failure so you have to bin it and buy new. It’s their business model. I’m done with robots and have gone back to a suction cleaner. Robots are a waste of money in my opinion.

Good luck, I hope you can get the parts you need.
