I have been to several local stores searching for more information on the Maytronics cleaners.
One dealer only sells the Dolphin Apollo. The next dealer recommended the M400. He said he felt that the M400 has been improved over the years and is very capable of doing all of cleaning that I desire.

What is the differences between the M400 and M500? And cost? His quote for the M400 was $1200.00
I do not have one for the M500.

OR should we consider looking at the s300i?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

We do have trees in the backyard, and will get leaves and little "nuts" that seem to stain the bottom if they sit too long. I hope to find a cleaner that can also clean the sides of my bench seating in the deeper end. (it slopes at a weird angle back to the pool wall as it gets deeper towards the bottom.

The M400 and M500 are identical cleaners other than the app they come with. The M500 has a much more in depth app to let you control cycle time and parameters. The M400 only has directional remote and a quick clean mode. Unless you have a pool larger than 20x40 and need a 3.5 hour run time I think you'll be fine with an M400.

Did you end up getting the M400? I recently got the Quantum and it is a big improvement over the DX4 but still unsatisfied with it and considering a M400 to avoid getting caught on the drain, tangling cord, and still have great wall climbing. I see it refurbished at poolpartz.com for 800.

If you got a M series how is it doing with the nuts and leaves? I have a similar issue with a tree that hangs over my pool. Looking at getting an M series.
