Unboxed and excited to use my new Dolphin M400 in our pool just installed last week.

However after 3 cycles, it refuses to climb the walls. Gave assist to top and it doesn't turn sideways to clean waterline.

We have a tanning ledge and sad to discover (my fault not fully reviewing up front) they aren't designed for the ledges.

Videos show them cleaning stairs only to find out it won't clean stairs if the unit doesn't fit on them.

For seating areas in deep end, assuming it looks at these as steps so won't climb on those so no waterline cleaning on these areas??

Do I have a bad unit for lack of wall climbing and waterline cleaning? Or with new pool will it take a few cycles to clean junk off the sides to work properly?

Anyone with M400 experience, happy to have your thoughts.

Have to quote from old post. This is absolute genius and worked like a charm. 3 pieces of noodles and he climbs like a pro now.

My M500 climbs the walls better with the mesh filters than the pleated filters.

However, a small modification can help. Put a pool noodle on the bars that support the floats. Gives the unit more buoyancy.
