I’m looking to remodel my new house. The pool is twenty years old; I am redoing tile/coping/plaster/deck. I have a sub for each component; comfortable with everything but the pool equipment prices seem very high. I went Hayward it’s a chlorine pool. I feel like the price of equipment is the only thing I’m not comfortable with 2 variable pumps, blower, filter, chlorinator, automation, heater 16k. Anyone have ideas on reducing price for equipment? Appreciate it!

I don't know specifically, but it seems like there's been a significant shortage of pool equipment during COVID because of a combination of fewer manufacturing workers, general supply chain issues, and tons of people staying home and building pools. Seeing if there's a way around the 2 VSPs would be the first place I'd look? I dunno. Somebody else might be able to chime in.
