Does Pool Stabilizer (CYA) also add calcium?

Just drained/refilled my pool so now need to add some CYA. I typically run about 40 CYA on my test kit and enjoy good results.

My question is when I add stabilizer am I also inadvertently adding calcium? The reason I drained my pool in the first place is to lower the calcium to minimize any scale buildup on my SWG plates (at 450 or less calcium I had no buildup on my SWG plates, above 500 calcium I got regular build up on my SWG calcium plates).

No, the CYA will not add calcium to the water.

Yep...just bought some yesterday at Walmart; 100% what you want and only what you want.

Note to OP: With an SWG you'll want to keep your CYA a bit higher, perhaps 70-90. Lots of info on this forum as to why, but it boils down to your SWG producing small amounts of FC throughout the day vs a whopping dose with liquid chlorine. That small amount needs more protection.
