Does my cell or board need to be replaced?

I have an Aquarite. I usually have T-15 cells. The last time I ordered one, about a year go, was a T-9. I estimate my pool to be 15,000 gallons.

It has worked fine until the last 2-3 months. Since then I can't seem to keep the pool blue unless I turn on super chlorinate. Turn it on and we are back to blue by the next day.

When I just go back to auto it will start turning green after a day or two. All other chemicals are fine.

When I started noticing it turning green I have started testing increasing the percent by 10%. I am up to 90 and seems to have no impact. Next I bump it to 100%, which is what super chlorinate does and see if it has the same impact.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

You have algae. You need to follow the SLAM Process to get your pool algae free.

SWGs do not have the chlorine generation ability to keep up with algae growth. Your SWG should operate normally once you complete the SLAM Process using liquid chlorine and not your SWG.

What test kit do you have?

With your pump running, what are ALL the diagnostic readings?

What is the serial number on the cell? Hayward cells are typically 3 or 4 year warranty cells unless you accidentally purchased the 1 year warranty replacement cell.
