DIY Solar Cover Storage - Weight Issues

Hi All,
Are there any concerns with the weight of the solar cover on the side of the pool when stored in the PVC pipe apparatuses that you see throughout this thread? I have a 24' round AGP and want to make one of these holders. I just don't want my pool walls to get damaged if the weight of the solar cover is too much.

I have a 24 AGP and a 12 mil cover and it's heavy as you said. Personally, I would not want to hang it off the pool. I had thought of building shepherd hooks for it sunk into the ground but didn't do it, next I thought of making a PVC "table" to put it on and also didn't do that either. In the past we just took the cover off and laid it on chairs or the ground which is why I thought of the table idea. With no kids around these days we just fold it in half and float in the uncovered half!
