It's certainly a lot of work, but it should be worth it. I'm also hoping the walls are good for another 30+ years after this, because I'm definitely not doing this ever again.
I used surface bonding cement instead of a scratch coat on my block wall and it worked great for holding the Drylok. Just make sure everything’s clean and damp before applying.
