Hi All,
My pool was built in the fall of 2021. Size is 20x40 rectangular with a 8' deep and 3 1/2' shallow end. Vermiculite semi-hard bottom. Last year, I discovered a large valley like divot on the bottom of my shallow end. Rough dimensions are about 6 inches long and about 1 inch wide. It can only be seen at night with the reflection of the pool lights. I informed the PB of this last year, and they said they could drain the pool, pull the liner back (not sure if entirely or partially since divot is only on the shallow end), fix and put the liner back. I expressed concerns over the liner not going back the same way, and i was told that "it should go back since the liner is still very flexible since is still fairly new." I recently looked at pictures of the pool when it was first built in 2021 at night with the lights on, and I am sure that the divot was not there. So, i am somewhat concerned about the fact that it appeared after the pool was built and perhaps will just get bigger over time. For a while, i said to myself i was going to leave alone and address when my liner is due for replacement. However, i am second guessing myself now in the event that it does get bigger or in the event that there is a larger issue causing it. I would like hear some opinions from those of you more experienced with pool ownership. Is there a good probability that the pool liner will go back the same exact way after it gets pulled back for the repairs ? should i address, or should i leave it alone and just address my OCD and accept the fact that perfection is hard to achieve with pool ownership?
Thank you in advance.
