Hi all,
I can’t figure out this year why I have so much dirt at the bottom of my pool.
I did have to slam it for a little bit because I thought maybe it was some dead algae or something starting but now my numbers are great and the water is clear but still this dirt ends up on the bottom of my pool during the day. Overnight it doesn’t really show up. It’s just during the day and I have to brush it a couple times a day and it’s so frustrating. Any ideas? Is spring just a dirty season maybe? 🤔🤔

Around here, it's seed pods from trees. The maple "helicopters" are obvious, they will never look like "dirt", but the oak trees could be fooling with you. Their seed pods look a little bit like a caterpillar, and disintegrate into "dirt" when left in the water any amount of time.

Aside from those two, there's just a ton of pollen in the air, to the point where every dark vehicle looks like it's been coated in felt flocking. It's a dusty time of year.

We are dealing with all of the above right now, and yes, the bottom of the pool gets dirty quick. But no worries, it's too cold for anyone to be swimming around here yet, anyway.
