Dingy looking shell, anything besides rubbing vitamin C pucks on it?

So my pool shell has been getting more and more dingy the last few years. I would like to brighten it up but the only advice I have gotten really is to pick up vitamin C pucks and rub them on the walls. I was curious if there was an easier way? The very idea of taking that little puck and scrubbing 100% of the shell is killing me (lol).

I wouldn't doubt if I am now due for a gel coat but the pool is so old now it's probably not worth it. Not to mention some people probably noticed my older posts about being on the edge of tearing it out. With that being said my family wants to swim in it this year, so I figured I should try to clean it up some.

I don't know if the Vitamin C will work (haven't tried it), however the staining almost seems like it kind of got dingy due to so much dirty water that was in it. But it doesn't scrub off or improve when shocked. I was hoping there was something I could add to try (lazy way). But I guess your right I need to test and see if the C removes it to find out if it's iron (didn't know that).

Your first post made it sound like you had already tried Vit C in a small spot asn was looking for a way to cover the entire pool.

You should go through the entire stain identification process...
