Digital CAD drawings

I see a lot of you have these really nice digital drawings of your pool....I have looked around and can not find this application anywhere - I am curious if this is something you guys are buying or is it free??

Thank you

I want to say the pool builders supply that service when requesting a quote. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I also think they charge a fee for this service. We had some created for a landscaping project and those prints alone were around $200.

Most good, established PBs create one after their initial visit. A very good sales tool and great visual representation for the customer. You can buy one yourself, probably not cheap. I'm not sure of the name or names of the software.

Looks like my PB uses Pool Studio.

Just about all software programs have free trials but the trouble is most have very steep learning curves. Pool Studio isn't horrible to learn but it still will take some time.

The best thing you can do is download SketchUp. It's a free 3D program that is relatively easy to learn and has tons of objects available in their 3D warehouse. There are hundreds of YouTube tutorials to walk you through learning the program.

I use Chief Architect X8 and am very happy with it. It's not an actual pool design program but I've been able to get it to suit my needs.

CAD computer Aided Drawing is not something you just pick up and use. I worked major construction projects all over the world in my 45 yr career and CAD operators is a full time position by itself.
but now they may have easier cheaper versions available that a homeowner can experiment with forvpool and landscape design. The programs we used had so many functions, you would spend more time trying to use it than it would be worth for you, perhaps one of the experts here can advise you better
