Different Levels of CYA, Alkalinity

Hello,

I have a new pool and got the Pro Kit but also take my water to the regular pool store to get tested as they said if I am not bringing it regularly, my warranty can be effected. My question if why is the levels different for my pool company and the TFP recommendations.

Pool Math total Alkalinity is 60-90 range and CYA is 40-60

P@@l st@res recommend TA of 80-120 because pucks are acidic, and the typical way they recommend to chlorinate. Higher TA buffers the low pH of the pucks.
CYA of 40-60 for a liquid chlorine pool is based on lowering the daily FC demand, and in the case of having to SLAM because of algae, 60 and below is an easy SLAM.
CYA of 60-90 for SWCG is to further reduce FC demand and lengthen the life of the cell.

And one would think when you change the equation by not adding pucks, the advice would change accordingly. But here we are.
