Dichlor vs Sodium Chloride ( Bleach ) pH

Hi Guys,

Since dichlor is apparently bleach without chlorine, why such pH difference 7 vs 12 Bleach

I can only expect bleach to upset pH balance.

Dichlor is chlorine and CYA. Very acidic.

Bleach is sodium hypochlorite. It does have an elevated pH but once added to water and completes its sanitation cycle, it is pH neutral.
