DiChlor or Bleach?

Question: Does Chlorox 4-in-1 pool shock definitely contain CYA? I can only find Dichlor specified on the ingredients.

Also, what is the difference between 6-in-1 shock vs 4-in-1.

It says (on the 4-in-1 packet) that it's specifically for vinyl liner pools and won't bleach your liner. Is this just marketing BS or is there something to it?

Dichlor is CYA and chlorine. Essentially one part CYA to one part chlorine.

The packet is marketing BS.

Use liquid chlorine.

Bleach==liquid chlorine

The % is how you figure it. Bleach is usually 6%.

Do you know your CYA number?
