A CC level of 19?? Can you describe how you’re testing and coming to that endpoint?
Let me get this right- It took 48 drops of 0871 liquid to clear your sample of red.....then when you added the 5 drops for the CC test it took 38 drops of 0871 to clear it up of the pink again??
Did you run the two portions of the test immediately back to back...didn't let it sit for a few minutes between portions, right??

No, we know the directions. But sometimes folks misunderstand them anyway..... so we're checking to confirm.

City water and I've used HTH Shock by Clorox twice. We don't have iron in our water. No pucks copper base 3 treatments last wknd.Its copper that turns blonds green. Lots of hidden copper in products, like the Clorox XtraBlue line of products is loaded with copper. Ever use those pucks or algaecides before?
Do you fill from a well?? That yellow pic looks like what iron would do in water.

Ya know.....none of this makes *any* sense to me.
I think if it were *me* I'd empty the pool and start fresh after a good cleaning. Be aware that you have to leave a foot of water in the pool so the liner doesn't shift.
But you'd be 95% closer to where you want to be then and can add only what's needed in the proper doses then.

A nylon scrubber or brush and some diluted chlorine. rinse. repeat as necessary.
Uh.... 24 drops of 0871= FC of 12 (if you used a 10cc sample)
and 19 drops of 0871 for CC test = 9.5 (assuming same 10 cc pool water sample)
Why would you rinse the tube ?? You're testing the same sample of water for both FC and CC.......right???

I'm plugging in #'s on pool math app. Adjusting chem's that are suggested.
You have the directions..... no where does it say to rinse between doing the FC test and the CC test. The CC portion of the test is a continuation of the same pool water in the vial.
