We put up a 12×30 round intext steel frame pool. Since it's small we put it on our patio our back. We want to use it this year only as we will be moving next year. We thought the patio was almost perfectly level. But we are 3.5 inches off level from the front to back. My husband says it's not safe. I'm hoping to find someone saying it will be fine. We just want to float. Me and my 16 year old will be using it mainly and again...it's just wide enough and deep enough to lay in. Putting it somewhere else isn't an option. I cannot level another spot in our backyard. Do I just take it down and get a little baby pool to lay in and fill with water when I want to use it??? I'm so so sad.

Welcome to TFP! Funny thing, many times we have to tell the husband ,"Sorry, you're wife is right" and they go back with their tail between their legs. Ha. :poke: But this time, I'm afraid your husband has a good point. Here at TFP we consider anything past one inch out of level. A pool 1.5 - 2 inches out is pushing it. Problem is there's a lot of water weight pushing on the low side, and if it collapses with you in it, you go flying out like a bullet. Plus there's the initial flooding to note as well.

Wives have a lot of pull, so if you talk him into letting you try it, well, be careful. :) Let us know how it goes.

You have a 'bag of water' being held up by some pipes that weighs about 19,000 lbs. It's too far out of level for my liking. The pool sitting there is one thing. Those pools get rocking pretty crazy when used by kids.

Patios are sloped for drainage, about 4 inches per 10 ft IIRC. Many have found this out after getting a temporary pool.

Yes I'm afraid I'll have to remove it and just get my kiddie pool this year u til we move next year. Ugh.
