Hi there!

I’m needing to refill my pool due to excessive calcium which is over 2500 ppm. Since it is summer and I live in AZ,I’m trying to do a drain/refill simultaneously. I have two hoses in the pool, but they can’t keep up with the drain pump.

How far can I safely let the water get down before I need to stop the pump and let the water refill. If I drain 1 ft. below the tile it should take 90minutes to refill up to the tile. Is it ok to leave the plaster exposed in the 95 degree heat for this long (90 min) while I drain down and refill?

Just turn off the pump and let the hoses catch up.
What pump are you using that you are out running your hoses?

I’ve been stopping the pump and letting if refill to keep the water at the tile level, but holy cow this yo-yoing is a pain. All the start/stops are making it tricky to calculate how long i need to do this!
