Defective Robot?

I purchased the dolphin premier last summer and I’m beginning to question the quality of it. I opened my pool last Monday( gunite inground) and the robot has been going since. As of today there is still dirt on the bottom and I have tried using the bag and the other two filters it came with. I’d like to think I’m doing something wrong but it seems self explanatory. I don’t expect perfection but after a week and the amount of money it costs, there’s no reason it should still be this dirty. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

PD,

I just lost my 7 year old Premier about a month ago.. In those 7 years it worked perfectly...

If I had just one dime sized leave on the floor of my pool, it would always be gone when it was done cleaning.

No way I can be sure it cleaned every inch of my pool, but it never failed to find that leaf..

I'd talk with the store that sold you the Premier and see what they have to say.

I always used the corrugated filters and I was always amazed at what it would pick up.

Can you tell if you have good flow from the suction impeller??

Obviously, it will not get up on tanning ledges or stairs.. If the dirt collects right next to corner or at the bottom of the stairs, it is best to bush that dirt out into the middle of the pool..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Everything in the impeller seems fine. Just went to my local pool store and told me due to the fact the pool is not completely clear yet, all the debris that’s still in the water will just get sucked through the robot and get pushed back out. Said to stop using it until the pool is clear. Makes some sense. Thanks
