Deep end algae spot tool..

I have the one on the far left. Good for removing leaf stains and similar. Don’t over-tighten the tablet clamp, don’t use excess pressure on it, and it works fine. I’m told it also helps on black algae spots but I’ve been lucky enough not to have any of that. After use I let the whole shebang dry in the sun and then store it in a sealed bag for next time.

What problem are you trying to solve?

If you have algae in one spot then you have it in the pool water and you should follow the SLAM Process.

Does your pool pass the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test?
Overnight loss less than .5 . Maybe a half dozen pinhead size black brownish dots vitamin c rub eliminated those easy to get at. Take pride in never having to shock the pool. FC/CYA always adhered to. Pool water is crystal clear.

Sounds like you have some iron spots in the pool. Maybe from fertilizer.
