Deck recaulking -- how hard?

I'm looking into getting the caulk between my concrete decking and the coping redone. It doesn't *sound* like a particularly challenging/technical DIY sort of project, but I'm having a hard time getting a pulse on just how labor intensive it is (especially removal of the old stuff).

Can anyone who's done this job comment on how many hours and how much elbow grease I should expect? Is it worth the $1k to have someone do this professionally?

Thanks!

It’s easy. Clean it out however u can. Add backer if gap is deep to save on material. Tape off if u want to keep it cleaner. Self leveling will look better but is messier bit if u tape off and have a nice clean area to work from and move along as u go it’s no problem. I have done my porches where limestone meets bluestone and other areas that need to be done in the past.
