Deck Jets? Yay or Nay? and the cheap or the nice LED?

Fiberglass pool in Indiana and looking at adding deck jets for the water noise and effect sometimes.

There are the standard cheaper ones that don't light up and the spray isn't as "clean or neat. I think these are like $250

Then theres the LED ones that spray in a perfect neat tubular stream but cost more like $1200 or so.

Anyone have good or bad comments on either type??

We have two basic deck jets in our small pool. Have used them twice. Too noisy. But if you like the sound of splashing water, they do that. They do get blown around by any wind at all.

I have the Pentair Magic Laminars. Love them! They were pricey, but I absolutely love the effect at night. The laminar flow also has very little splash on low speeds. I use just the laminar flow without lights during the day and kids love them.

We have the cheaper deck jets and love them, I did have to make the nozzle smaller to cut down on the volume of water so they weren't a loud. Everyone that comes to the pool loves them, especially the kids. Jandy are about $80 a piece.
