Sadly, I believe I got to him (her) too late. I dragged the body out and when I flipped it over, I thought I saw some light movement. But my daughter thinks it's dead. I'll leave it until later just to make sure.

Really? We have them all around the backyard here. Found one or two in the skimmers the past couple years. Relocated them to a more green area of the yard. I have to watch out for them with the mower.
