Dealing with Pollen, A Nearby Tree, and Solar Covers

I have a 16' above ground pool that year after year I've battled tons of pollen from a nearby tree. Keeping the water crystal clear becomes a full time job for the first half of every swimming season, and our swimming season is short because mid august the pool falls into the 50's in temp :(

Well, my old bubblewrap style solar cover disintegrated this last season so I'm in the market for a new cover and I was thinking I could hit two birds with one stone...

Keep the pollen out, AND warm the pool / reduce water and temperature loss.

The problem is, most covers have drain holes which would completely undermine my pollen issue, and the ones that don't have drain holes appear to sag and collect rain water, and they look hard to get off after a rain, and they appear easy to rip.

I'm really not sure what the best option is for my pool, or if I should just get another bubblewrap cover that floats on top and deal with the pollen?

^^^This. Just get an 8mm cover, heavier covers provide no benefit and are hard to wrangle.
