Hello, Expert,

I found DE returning to my pool. Opening up the DE filter and do a deep clean and close examination.
Questions -
1. The youtube video I watched, usually the filter manifold are decoupled from the top of the pipe. Mine is de-coupled from the bottom side. Is this expected? Could this be an issue? I still could not remove the pipe from the manifold yet. Very tight.

2. The air bleeder mesh has holes, could this be an issue?

The downtube that’s installed in the top manifold appears to be schedule 40, not manufacturer original pipe. That makes me question if it’s glued into the manifold top? Do you know the history of the filter, make, manufacturer and model?
