Hi, my DE filter (in my signature) was just cleaned and charged with DE and is dripping a little around the edges. I saw a video where the guy recommended silicone lubricant be put around the rim of the filter before closing. I don't think the pool company did that. I also don't think they screwed the cover on the way recommended in the manual (alternating sides).
If I turn off the pump, let the water out of the filter via the back drain, then remove the lid and put the lubricant on, then re-screw the lid back on, will I need to re-add DE again? Thanks!
