After rocking a 12 foot intex the past 2 years, I decided to finally take the plunge and have a 'real' AGP installed this spring. After much (at least a year) research/dreaming I had finally narrowed down what I wanted. I was excited to find a local installer who sold pools designed for in ground or semi install since that was one of my wants for my new pool. After a visit to my house to look at my yard and several phone conversations, I was ready to go in and sign my contract and pay 1/2 to get the pool ordered from Canada. We set an appointment for a Thurs afternoon at 4:30, and then that same day at 3:00 I got the news that the school (I work with special ed kiddos) was closing until April 6, which has now changed to April 27, which will probably change to not coming back this school year.
Sooo, with my salary dropping by a 1/3 (don't get paid for extra duties when not in school) and the uncertainty of everything, I decided to cancel my meeting and put my dream pool on hold. The contract was $13,600 and I couldn't part with that much money with all this going on. Now the good news...at the end of last summer, and before I made the firm decision of going with a permanent pool this spring, I was driving by Academy Sports and they had pulled all their Intex pools to the sidewalk for clearance. I grabbed a 15 foot intex for $74 and stuck it in my garage. My 6 year old daughter and I will still have a pool this summer!! And my dream pool will be waiting for me when things get better.
Today....leveling
