Daily FC Loss

I’m having a hard time figuring out daily chlorine loss. I’ve only had this pool for a short time and I’m still working out the kinks. My OCLT is 1 ppm or less, 0.5 CC or less. I tend to lose 4-5 ppm during the day wether we swim or not. I’m in Texas, pool is on west side of the house with no nearby shade. Right now I believe it takes about 9-10 hours of direct sunlight. We also have a lot of suicidal bugs and I have to empty skimmers daily. I inherited a super high CYA pool (100+) so I figured sunlight loss would be less than what I’m getting. Any tips?

Latest readings:
FC: 10 ppm last night, 9.5 ppm this morning, 4.5 ppm this evening
CC: always 0-0.5. Barely changes color
pH: 7.5
Alk: 120
CH: 380
