Checking in with D/FW peeps....

Temps here are in the 40's and 50's right now and will go down a little over the next couple of months....in cold weather, how often do you test? I'm fighting the urge to "ignore" my pool because it looks great for weeks when temps are low. Just brush once a week.....but I'm new to all this and wanted to see how others on the boards adjust timing of testing during the winter.

I let my FC drop to 8 or 9, test PH and add a jug or two of bleach. A jug of 8.25% bleach adds 4 ppm FC to my pool. It is only every week or two or three. I really don't remember. It isn't too often.

Cody,

It is a "feel" thing.. You will get to know your pool and adjust your schedule to it. This time a year, I'd start testing about once a week and see how your numbers look and adjust your timing from there.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
