Cyanuric acid reading question

The test kit says “transfer cloudy solution to small tube until black dot on bottom just disappears when viewed from top”. But I’ve filled it completely and can still see the black dot vaguely. Just wondering if the standard of “disappearing” is as strict as I think, or the pool is truly lacking CYA.

It's close, but I'd say you're still a little low. You could add another 10 ppm worth of stabilizer via the sock method then retest in another day or two. But the black dot should not be visible.

You don’t want to stare - just a glance at each line. Also- be sure to do the test in bright light.
You can pour the solution back into the little squirty bottle & repeat the last part as many times as you need to.
