CYA - How long to dissolve sitting on the bottom of the pool?

I put CYA in an old Polaris bag and hang it in front of my hot tub outlet. It usually dissolves in a few hours. But...

The bag was old and weak and tore and a mess dropped to the pool floor. Any idea how long it will take to dissolve just sitting there? Too cold to get down to it....

Push it around on the floor with your pool brush until it dissolves.

Don't let it sit in one spot as it is a mild acid and can stain the plaster.

I scooped what I could with a leaf net and put it back to dissolve. I swept the rest around. I'll go back and do some more in a bit.
