CYA Disolve

Hi Guys! TIA!! Put my CYA in socks and hung off ladder.Question is, is some of the CYA being filtered out by my cartridge filter? I do know it will take some time to show up on my test, but want to know if I;m loosing some to the filter. As always, thanks for all you help that has save me tons of money and the best look pool in the neighborhood!!!

Yes and no.

Some larger granules may get into the filter (this is the yes part). But then water will continue to pass over those granules over time and therefore it will eventually all dissolve.

The only way you would "lose" it is if you either cleaned your filters after adding (so rinsing it off onto the ground) or if you had a sand filter and backwashed it to waste.
