Hello everyone,
Just a quick question about csi. My current levels are
FC 6.5
CC 0
PH 7.4
TA 70
CA 90
CYA 70
CSI via pool math -0.93

My pool is vinyl with SWG so my understanding is that calcium isn’t needed. Should I raise my ph to 7.6 or 7.8 or raise the calcium to a level closer to 200 in order to get that csi down. I don’t want to damage my equipment. Thanks for any input

With a vinyl pool and no heater in your signature, there is no need to add calcium. A negative CSI proves that there should be little worry about scale developing on the cell plates. All your numbers are within range. I wouldn't try to adjust anything at the moment. You're doing great. :goodjob:

Thanks for the quick responses. To clarify I do indeed have a heater. It was in my signature before but I will re add it.
Still no need to worry about csi ?

Look at the owners manual. Many gas heaters recommend a CH of 200 ppm based on steam boilers of the past. Your gas heater is no steam boiler, but up to you if you wish to add calcium.
