Hello there,

I keep my pool open in the winter and note again that my CSI is going very low. I have a fiberglass pool and not really sure if CSI really means much in the winter with fiberglass. I could certainly increase the Ph to 8 which others have suggested and increase the calcium but is this type of micromanagment in the winter non-swimming months really worth it?

Here's my latest numbers:

FC 3.6
pH 7.6
TA 60
CH 240
CYA 60
water temp 38 F
CSI = -0.91

I haven't done much with TA since I tend to keep this low in the summer with my SWG. Can certainly add some Baking soda but again - is it really worth the time and energy ?

Thanks,

Karl

Low CSI in fiberglass is not meaningful. Unless you have a grouted waterline tile, which it does not appear you have.

No changes needed.
