My Aquarite lasted 14 years before the board and transformer failed. I bought a "Crystal Pure Salt System" from INYO Pools. I've installed it. Everything seems to work, the generator lights work fine. However, the salt % stays at 0 PPM although I know I have at least 3200 PPM in the pool. I have a fear that the SWG is not communicating with the control board. Would this cause the SWG panel to light up and show it working, but actually not working? Or other thoughts on what might be wrong. My pool water is cloudy as well and I have added 4 lbs of shock. It has been the most difficult year ever for pool management! 7.4 pH, CYA 60, TA 70 (low), CH 200, Salt 3200 PPM, chlorine tests as "0", why I do not know.

What was the 4lbs of shock? Cal-Hypo?

How did you get those test results? Your TA is fine, but your CYA is a bit low, you should have a min of 70ppm CYA.

I recommend at sunset you turn off the SWG and dose the pool to 10ppm FC, verify the 10ppm in 15 min with the pump running, then check again in the am before the sun is on the pool. This will tell us if you have the beginnings of an algae bloom consuming all your FC as fast as it is made.
