Cracked S200 Filter Dome - Replace entire filter?

I have a Hayward S200 sand filter. The top half has a small crack in it, and the black cap also has cracks. Should I just replace these parts, or replace the entire filter unit?

I've also been considering a move to a cartridge filter. If I do, will I need to replace the pump and variflow valve, too? Or can I just swap the filters?

Cartridge filters do not use a variflow valve and can work with any pump.

This is a good opportunity to change filters if you want.
