Crack in plaster. Please help!!

I opened up this spring and have a crack in the plaster on my step in my deep end bench(see pics). Last fall I closed as normal and lowered the water level 2 inches below the tile line.

The pool is holding water so far. I haven’t contacted the PB yet. The pool is going into its fifth season. Before I opened, I slid the robot under the cover and it collected a whole lot of scale(white crystal like substance).

What, if anything should be done about the cracks?

Not much can be done about the cracks unless you want to chip off the old plaster and replaster the area.

I would watch the area and see if the cracks expand.

I suspect you may have some freezing water that got underneath the plaster causing the cracks.
