CPVC Glue

Here it is after the fact but I just have to know! I redid some pool plumbing by removing one 3-way diverter valve and installing two 2-way Waterway diverter valves. I used Oatey purple primer and Oatey clear PVC cement. Did I use the wrong cement? I believe the valves are CPVC. I used schedule 40 PVC. There will be no pressure on the pipes for at least 2 weeks but I don’t want the pipes to blow so I will redo if I need to. I am so bummed right now

Nothing is going to “blow”, pool pumps can’t produce pressures that high. At the very worst you’ll get a leak. What’s done is done. Typically you want to use a combo PVC/CPVC glue when joining dissimilar materials but regular PVC glue will likely hold. Just test it out and see what you get.
