I have a Coverstar automatic cover for my pool. Today the ropes broke off the cover but my son kept engaging the motor. The rope kept winding around the gear pulley until there wasn't any room left, and now it's jammed. I can't move it at all. I think I need to loosen the brackets around the motor, but worry I'll make it worse. Any advice?

Auto-cover repair is not a DIY job. A pro will fix in in a fraction of the time you will spend figuring it out.
