covering pool during swim season while gone on vacation

we have an 18x9 4500 gallon above ground soft side. going away for 8weeks this summer. plan to cover with the vinyl tie down cover. and tips and tricks to make every thing go well? ie, fill pool, how long to run filter daily? any info would be very helpful..

we have the float containing the chlor tabs. plan to have it in the middle and probably put in 3 tabs..

3 8oz pucks can only add 37ppm of chlorine. most of us use 1 to 2 ppm per day when the pool is covered. so in 60 days, you would need 60 to 120 ppm to maintain. this would also effect your cya a lot .
i’m sure others on this forum are way more knowledgeable than me, but i woul just close it down and deal with it when i got back.
at 4500 gallons, how much is a complete water change?
