Correct time to Backwash

I’ve seen several different answers to this question, I’ve been backwashing after my gauge goes up by 10 psi. My clean psi range is 13 psi and I wait for the gauge to hit 23 psi to backwash but I’ve read on a thread here that you should backwash once the psi goes up by 3-4 psi?

The general recommendation is backwash your filter when PSI increases by 25%.

With a clean PSI of 13 that means backwash around 16.

If you can go a bit longer with no ill effects to your pool then it is ok.
