Copper Testing Question

I have some dark staining in my medium dark blue quartz plaster pool. It seems to be accumulating around the return jets. Also I see a few black dotted areas on the floor. I've concluded a AA treatment a few days ago. I see that the treatment has lightened the stain somewhat, albeit very little. Will my La Mote copper test result be affected by the presence of the AA at this point? I'm getting a zero reading result now. Also I found out the reagents were expired in 2019. So I'm not sure what to think. Yes,I forgot to test first. At my age I am tending to do things in reverse order. Ha.

A metals water test will only detect metal in solution. If the metal has come out of solution and deposited on the wall it will not be detected by a metals water test. AA would not effect the test.
