I'm reading here that it's better to add chlorine at night and when the pump is running. I'd also like to run the pump before daily skimmer basket cleanup and when the pool is in use.
So I was thinking running the pump for 6 hours from around 12 to 6 pm. This would allow me to be home to add chlorine around 5:30 pm and at that time, the suns direct light should be blocked by the house's shadow. Is that sufficient, or should we wait for sundown?
This also means the pump will be running during most active time of use. Which means the little water feature we have will be running and any organics will be getting mixed.
