Question: if I go with the CircuPool RJ 60+, do I need the Calimar Pump Interface Board? Is automation a must, or can I control salt without?
You can control the salt without automation.

Here are the options for the SWG control.

I went with the Current Sensing Relay.

To be clear on automation.

If you want to automate control of the pump, you would need automation and the add on board.

The control of the RJ output cannot be automated. There is no way to adjust the output except through the RJ control panel.
Control of the power to the RJ should ensure the RJ is only powered when the pump is running. That is the link I gave you to SWG How Does it work.
The flow switch should be secondary to the power control.
I chose the CSR because the pump could have power, but fail. The CSR knows if the pump is not pulling power.

So I have the Calimar running, but on 3000k rpm, my psi is showing on 6 o’clock (45psi?). I have a gauge from tftestkits (glycerin-filled psi gauge) and it’s not even a year old. It never goes back to zero. Should I get a new gauge or have I done something wrong?
