I currently have a separate Intellichlor salt chlorinator and power center, and I plan to purchase the IntelliCenter i8PS No Salt control system. Will I lose any functionality of the IntelliCenter if I do not purchase the Intellichlor transformer and control card that are designed to be integrated with the IntelliCenter?

No. You will run a 4 wire cable from the IntelliChlor box to the RS485 block in the Intellicenter.
