Converting Fish pond to Small Pool? Do I need sand filter

Im converting fish pond to Small Pool. The pool volume is around 1600 Gallon.
Im planning to add just water chemistry. If the pool get too dirty, I will drain out the water.
Should I install Sand Filter for my small pool. Its kinda hard to do it.

You can try managing your pond without a filter and see how it works for you.

People swim in ponds and lakes without filters.

If you cannot see the bottom it is not safe for people to be in.
