Certainly. The 30-50 recommendation is a very generic range that is identical to non-salt pools. It makes assumptions about other chemicals being used and the recommended levels for those other levels like TA (higher) just as one example. Actually, some manufactures are starting to acknowledge that a higher CYA helps to preserve the delicate chlorine/nitrogen gasses produced during the limited on/off run cycles of the cell. This helps the FC last longer and lowers cell run time which in the long run should help your cell to last longer.
