Controlling Intelliflo VS AND booster pump

I replaced my 2 speed pump with an Intelliflow VS. The booster is still on a T105 mechanical clock. When the power went off and then came back on later, the Intelliflo VS didn't start, but the booster did, and the booster pump ran dry and burned up.

Is there a switch that I can buy to install on the suction of the booster pump which will shut it off if the Intelliflo is not running? How else can I make it work without installing full automation?

I have not bought a replacement Polaris PB4 booster pump yet. Thank you for your help.

Tyler,

Welcome to TFP.. a great place to find the answers to all of your "Do I own the whole town?" questions... :shark:

One thing you could do is install a SWCG flow switch in the return (pressure side) plumbing... use the flow switch to energize a power relay that is inline with the output of your mechanical clock. If there was no flow, then the booster would not turn on..

Not something you could go to the store and buy, but pretty easy to kluge something together.

Thanks,

Jim R.
