Unfortunately I have been a pool.owner for over 40 years, but time crept up on me now have Pool Company. My pool now is a Anthony/ Sylvan in ground 23 year old granite pool. Unfortunately my pool people don't know much about a Compool #Cp3400. They suggested replace panel. Likel a good homeowner went right to Ebay. To my surprise found one at about $350.00 and brought it. My luck they had two different ones, a cp3400 and a cp3600. You guess it, ordered the cp3600 by mistake. Big question is are they still interchangeable . Only difference I notice it has two more control bottoms. Can I still used my cp3600.

Compool systems are from the mid-1990's. Compool was bought by Pentair. Compool systems consist of the LX3800 outdoor panel and the CP3800 indoor control panel.

The CP3400 has four relays; CP3600 has six relays; and the CP4800 has eight relays. Otherwise that should be identical.

I'm quite sure it will work fine - No harm in giving it a try just ignore the extra two buttons. With compool - All memory and control is in the outdoor control board. Think of your indoor control panel as the keyboard and monitor of a desktop PC- it's just a display and keypad used to operate the "PC" - in this case the outdoor control board.
