Good morning community,

I have been undergoing the SLAM process for going on 2 weeks now. Brushing daily, checking chlorine min of 3x per day. I have been vacuuming to waste roughly every 3 days or so, and have recently invested in a Dolphin Nautilus Plus. The pool water has cleared up tremendously but I can't seem to shake a light algae ring along the corners on a daily basis.

Open to any suggestions or advice and I can post thorough test result later today.

Let’s start with you need CYA. With a SWG in SAT you should have CYA of 70 once your SLAM is completed.

Right now raise your CYA 10 ppm at a time, about 1 pound of dry stabilzer, using the sock method until you get CYA between 30-40.

Get your FC back up to 12-16 ppm until you meet the three exit criteria which includes no algae in the pool.

Then immediately raise your CYA to 70 and run your FC about 8 once the SLAM is completed.
